Van Lanschot & Partners is an independent agency that provides search and recruitment services in the financial and business sectors. In addition, we provide interim management solutions and coaching. What sets us apart is our way of looking at people and organisations, the interactions between the two, and, on a broader note, the relation between humans and society. Executive Search

Our core activity is executive search of officers on the higher management, executive, board, and supervisory levels. First, we analyse the organisation and the vacant position: What are the expectations and ambitions, now and in the future? Subsequently, we draw up a function profile in cooperation with the client. This profile describes both the context and result areas, as well as the required competences.

Transparent approach
Within our network, we identify and approach the people that match the aforementioned profile in terms of competences, qualities and ambitions. With every candidate, we hold several interviews. In addition to individual knowledge and expertise, we also focus on other aspects that influence whether the match will be successful. For every candidate, we summarize these results in a concise report.

Discrete, committed and personal
Based on our selection, we put you into contact with one or several of the candidates. Because we believe women are often underrepresented in top positions, we run an active gender policy. Even after the point of hiring, we advise and support all those involved, for example in matters of labour conditions or compensation structure. After six months, we evaluate the procedure with all parties concerned. We take care of the entire procedure in a discrete, committed and personal manner.

Recruitment

We have our eye on the leaders and managers of tomorrow. We are always on the lookout for ambitious and talented professionals with three to eight years of experience in the field of finance, risk management, taxes, legal, compliance, treasury, asset and wealth management, audit, HR, and real estate. We regularly catch up with the Young High Potentials in our network. We work on knowledge transfer, give career advice and provide introductions with organisations. Coaching

Successful leaders know themselves and are able to make the most of their strong suits and talents. In this regard, we place particular emphasis on the attitude and behaviour of the leader, for example when it comes to the extent to which he or she helps his or her employees take initiative and assume responsibility. Coaching is a powerful instrument to extend the effectiveness of leaders, as it brings about increased self-knowledge and self-awareness. Michiel van Lanschot

Analyse, initiate, organise, enthuse and communicate, with connecting as the final goal; those are the key motivations for Michiel M.M. van Lanschot. Creating connections with and between people is what inspires and energizes him. Based on his experience of more than 30 years in the business world, with Van Lanschot & Partners, he is building a people-centred organisation that stands for quality and sustainability.

Michiel studied Dutch Law at the University of Utrecht and the University of Leiden en followed courses at, among others, the Amsterdam School of Real Estate. He fulfilled financial, fiscal-legal, HR and commercial positions at Moret Gudde Brinkman (now EY), Jones Lang LaSalle and Phanos. As such, he gained ample experience as a consultant and manager with family-owned companies and large multinational consultancy firms. He is active in several board positions.

René Hoppenbrouwers

'If you always do what you always did you will always get what you always got'. René Hoppenbrouwers agrees entirely with this quote by Albert Einstin. René is experienced in the fields of leadership development and organisational change. His extensive knowledge of economics and management enables him to bring about surprising new insights within the dynamics of organisational transformation and change. His areas of interest are, among others, high performance organisations, career paths, entrepreneurship, family businesses, team building and leadership coaching.

René has worked on board level, both in the Netherlands and abroad, for more than 30 years at, among others, Vendex KBB and Vodafone. Since 2015, he has been advising and coaching management teams on leadership development and organisational change. Together with Jan Bommerez, he published the book ‘Door de bomen het bos zien: Ontdek de eenvoud onder complexiteit in relaties en organisaties’ (Seeing the wood for the trees: Discover the simplicity underneath relational and organisational complexity) in 2007.

Paul Overtoom

'Audite et alteram partem' is Paul M.A. Overtoom's motto, or 'listen to what the other has to say'. His passion is getting to the bottom of what drives people and what their blind spots, hidden talents and doubts are. With this knowledge, he helps his sparring partner move forward. This may entail living out a personal dream, completing a project, finding directing in one's career or simply getting a grip on the day-to-day business.

Paul studied Economical Geography at the University of Utrecht and completed several additional studies at, among others, INSEAD and the Erasmus University. As a banker, he took on various responsibilities over the past 30 years, both in the Netherlands and abroad. He worked at ABN AMRO Bank and ING Bank. Currently, he works as a supervisor and coach.

Eric de Clercq Zubli

The motto that Eric de Clercq Zubli holds to is best described as 'Of what significance can I be for the other person? '. Eric supports the growth of others and does so with pleasure. One of his approaches herein is handing others the necessary building blocks. In doing so, he is convinced of the sustainable value of servant leadership, both for people and organisations.

Eric has extensive experience in managing, leading and developing a professional consultancy. As a member of the Advisory Board of Van Lanschot & Partners, he maintains a keen focus on keeping the organisation sincere, professional and people-centred.

Eric studied Construction Engineering at the HTS (university of applied sciences) in Zwolle, Business Administration at the Nyenrode University and Real Estate at the University of Amsterdam. In addition, he completed Executive Management Programmes at, among others, Nyenrode and INSEAD. He has more than 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate sector. From 2006 to 2013, he served as CEO at Jones Lang LaSalle in the Netherlands.
